Joe Rogan says Kamala Harris campaign made condition to avoid talk of ‘marijuana legalization’ during interview

Podcast host Joe Rogan suggested during his podcast on Tuesday that Vice President Kamala Harris placed a condition on a potential interview with the podcaster about avoiding talk of “marijuana legalization.”

“They had, I don’t know how many conversations with my parents, but multiple conversations with different dates, different times, different this, different that, and we knew she was going to be in Texas, so I said ‘open invitation,'” said Rogan. “I think they made demands on things that she didn’t want to talk about, she didn’t want to talk about the legalization of marijuana, which I thought was hilarious.”

The Harris campaign had talked to Rogan about an interview, but that ultimately did not happen. Rogan revealed that Harris wanted him to travel to Washington, DC to do the interview and just wanted to sit for an hour.

Rogan’s guest, Adrienne Iapalucci, asked Rogan why Harris might have wanted to avoid the topic.

“Because of her record,” Rogan said. ‘She put a lot into it people in jail because of weed.”

During another episode of the podcast on Friday, Rogan also noted that there were conditions the campaign placed on the interview.

“There were some restrictions on things they didn’t want to talk about, but I said, ‘I don’t care, bring her here.’ Like, whatever you want to talk about,” Rogan said.

Rogan repeatedly expressed interest in interviewing Harris and hoped the vice president would sit down with him while she was in Texas.

“I don’t know if she’s good at running things because you’d have to be behind the scenes to see how that works, but when it comes to talking from the top of her head, what she’s good at is a pre-rehearsed speech that she reads from a teleprompter. Pretty solid,” he said.
