Jake Paul claimed he took it easy against Mike Tyson afterward beating the 58 year old in their long-awaited battle.

In one press conference after the big event – which aired live on Netflix on Friday night – the YouTuber-turned-boxer said he purposefully pulled Tyson out in the third round after noticing the former heavyweight was struggling to keep up.

“I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt someone who didn’t need to be hurt,” the 27-year-old told reporters.

When asked if he felt Tyson’s powerful punches in the ring, Paul claimed he didn’t feel the typical power the boxing legend has become known for.

But the young fighter also claimed that “no one’s punches really hurt.”

Fans began booing the contenders in the final rounds of their showdown, despite Paul’s attempts to put on a show.

He blamed Tyson’s lack of entertainment for “just surviving” in the ring.

“I couldn’t really get him to engage me or take pictures and do something super cool or whatever, but I don’t care what people have to say,” Paul said.

“They will always have something to say and it is what it is.”

Paul defeated Tyson by unanimous decision in their publicized boxing match.

A number of stars were present to watch the fight, including Charlize Theron, Joe Jonas, Shaquille O’Neal, Cedric the Entertainer, Rosie Perez, Jerry Jones, Roy Jones Jr., Rob Gronkowski and more.

Tyson built up anticipation for the fight when he punched Paul during their pre-match weigh-in after the former influencer stepped on his toes.

“I had my socks on and he had shoes on. He stepped on my toe because he’s a hole,” Tyson told The Post.

But Paul claimed he was unaffected by the blow, saying he ‘felt nothing’.
